The Steampunk Dollhouse podcast is a mish mashed and disjointed, but oddly charming, confluence of events. After years of ranting about the validity of steampunk literature and its legitimacy as a tool for studying colonialism and globalization, Bluestocking was prompted to create a platform where she could share her dogma with the world. This decision was bolstered after troubling things began happening within the current, governmental regime and it became clear that repositories of science, knowledge, and truth (libraries among them) were under direct threat. Bluestocking has gathered her books, her equipment, and her burning desire to persist, and descended into the bunkers deep beneath The Library. From here she will speak her truth, and make a stand… or a sit. She’ll be sitting, mostly, but inside she’ll be standing tall. She has arthritis though, so sitting is easier. Welcome to The Steampunk Dollhouse!

Our Compatriots

Shortly after Bluestocking first began broadcasting, she was contacted by two of the most fascinating people she has ever had the pleasure to know. Much like Bluestocking, Mahometan & Celestial endeavor to bring a fuller, richer, and more well-rounded look into the world of steampunk, the wrongs that have been committed due to colonialism and imperialism, and the ways that steampunk can enable much-needed conversations. We at Steampunk Dollhouse heartily recommend that you pay a visit to these Purveyors of Bespoke Modernities. The trip will be well worth your while.
